For use with the SHIMANO STEPS E8000 group, the HG-X11 chain features SHIMANO's SIL-TEC surface treatment on the pin and roller link plate for improved durability on 11-speed drivetrains.

Hyperglide Technology
The inner outer plate of the HG chain is designed for efficient contact with gear teeth and allows smooth shifting under high load. The chain achieves a higher pedalling efficiency and is perfectly matched to HG sprockets to ensure quick shifting.

SIL-TEC
SIL-TEC is Shimano's ultra-low friction surface treatment. Superior to simple coating, SIL-TEC is an advanced plating process that improves system performance through use of imbedded fluorine particles. SIL-TEC products run smoother and wear longer in all conditions.

Directional
For silky driving, accurate shifting, the HG-X11 directional chain realizes more smoother shifts and greater overall performance. Right and left sides are optimized for front and rear shifting respectively. The CN-E8000 chain has an asymmetrical design and direction of travel to be noted when installing.
